IKS Photovoltaik presents innovation at Intersolar 2013

The international teaching materials manufacturer for renewable energies, IKS Photovoltaik, will be presenting its newest innovation at Intersolar 2013 in Munich: a micro energy school which will also be optionally available in the future in the model of a small energy company.

Background: this energy school is a new teaching aid from IKS Photovoltaik, which is set to make primary school students enthusiastic, both about the use of renewable energies and about future jobs in the field. At the same time, the energy building will also be available in a second model, that of a company. This is then aimed primarily at companies who wish to clearly demonstrate the benefits of renewable energies to their end customers at trade shows, events and other occasions.

In concrete terms, the Kassel teaching aids professionals – who are global pioneers in RE teaching materials for education and training – have combined the topics of photovoltaics, solar thermal and wind energy in a single system with the new product. In this way, it is easy to show how the sun and wind can be used to produce electricity for lighting, fans, etc. And not only that: the small energy building also has an energy storage device, so that the consumers are able to operate even in times when the sun and wind are not providing sufficient energy. Furthermore, a street lamp in the outside area demonstrates a simple off-grid solution and the thermal system on top of the building provides a supply of hot water. Visitors to Intersolar 2013 will be able to get a full overview of all that the energy building from IKS Photovoltaik has to offer, as the innovation will be presented for the first time at the stall of the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi), with the name 'Innovation made in Germany'.
